First post on WordPress

This is sort of a trial weblog, as Upsaid has been having problems and comments are unavailable at this time. As comments have apparently been unavailable for several days, I suppose we will have to migrate elsewhere if this is not resolved, and WordPress looks pretty good. But we’ll see how this goes.
Note: As of now a comment can be made with a fictitious email address such as “none@none.com”. I’ll leave it like this for a while and see what transpires, as I know there are some who don’t have their own PCs who read blogs.
This is a test to see if a fictitious website such as “none@none.com” will allow a post as the controls are now set up.
Hey Will, the WordPress blog looks good. If you decide to stick with it, I’d be glad to offer any tech. help I can given that I’ve been using WordPress for Lent & Beyond for the past 2 1/2 years.
BTW, as I understand it, the only way a valid e-mail address would be required, was if you click the option that requires readers to register in WordPress to comment on the blog. There then is a password validation step which sends out an e-mail to the address provided, so that means one must give a real e-mail address.
I’d be glad to offer advice about spam control, various plugins, and blog design, etc., though I’m still no expert in any of the above.
BTW, if you want to write me, I trust you have my personal e-mail address. The one I use on blogs is a real address, but I check it much less frequently.
Karen,
Thank you VERY much. I can see that WordPress is MUCH more sophisticated and the learning curve on this will be steeper, so I may be calling on your expertise!
