The Rev. Daniel McGrath: On the Third Commandment
September 25, 2006
As I noted previously it is a blessing to have two sermon series being preached simultaneously on the Ten Commandments. And having read the sermon yesterday by the Rev. Charlie Camlin on the Third Commandment, it is interesting to see the perspective of the Rev. Daniel McGrath (of St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Washington State) on that very same commandment, in his sermon Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain.” I found his sermon to be insightful as well, and in particular, note the portion about the Name of God being used in the Anglican service for Holy Communion. There is a lot to think about here–read it all.
