Methods of Bible Study
February 7, 2013
Reblogged from The Kentucky Parson:
In The Gospel According to St. John 5:39, Jesus said,
“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.”
We should all read the Bible–no Christian life is complete without this. I feel a little silly for typing this, it is such a basic premise, but I fear it is all too often overlooked.
I wanted to call attention to this excellent post by The Kentucky Parson on "Methods of Bible Study". It is sound, Biblical counsel; in particular note the mention of the text "Methods of Bible Study" by W.H. Griffith Thomas. This is a very good book and I join the Parson in commending it to you. He furnishes a link in his post to a Google Books version of "Methods of Bible Study" - please go check it out.

I’m working on a series of Lectio Divina journals that go through the epistles. James should be complete soon, followed by 1 & 2 Thessalonians.
Let me know when one of these is available – would like to see it.
I can send you James chapter 1 as a PDF. How should I do that?
Brian, thanks so much. You can send it to prydain2004@yahoo.com.
