The Rev. James Poole: “Where can wisdom be found?” (Job 28:1-28)

June 23, 2010

Here is another audio sermon on the Book of Job, this one by the Rev. James Poole of St. Andrew the Great in the United Kingdom.  This sermon, titled Where can wisdom be found?, is based on Job 28:1-28.  As the Book of Job in the preceding chapters has shown Job and his friends seeking to deal with the questions, “How can I come to terms with my suffering?” and “Why is this happening to me?”, this chapter deals with the question of where that wisdom can be found.  Rev. Poole does his usual excellent work in presenting us a lot to think about – including the very different perspectives with which atheists and Christians would approach this fundamental question of human existence – please give this one a listen.
