The Rev. Mark Quay: “The Holy Spirit and Spiritual Warfare” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)

June 26, 2010

From the Rev. Mark Quay, preaching at St. Andrew’s Church (AMiA) in Little Rock, Arkansas, here is an interesting audio sermon which is titled The Holy Spirit and Spiritual Warfare;  it is based on 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, that great passage where the Apostle Paul talks about “taking captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”  There are some good thoughts in this sermon – including the fact that the best defense against the wiles of the devil is to walk closely with Christ Jesus.  It sometimes seems that we often lose sight of the unrelenting nature of temptation and of spiritual warfare, and this message is not a bad reminder of how seriously we should take these matters.
