The Rt. Rev. Chandler Holder Jones on the REC’s orders

September 26, 2010

I have long been troubled by the refusal of some to consider the Reformed Episcopal Church as being truly “Anglican” – particularly because the REC as it now stands is probably closer to the theology of the Anglican Reformers (and probably the Caroline Divines as well) than a number of other Anglican churches.  It is certainly far better than the Episcopal Church now is!  That being said, I found the post On the Validity of Holy Orders in the Reformed Episcopal Church by Bishop Chandler Holder Jones of the Anglican Province of America (and who writes the Philorthodox blog) to be really helpful – see what you think about his very well-reasoned post.
