A new blog: “The Anglican Expositor” by Fr. Bill Klock

January 26, 2011

Fr. Bill Klock has begun a new blog on the subject of preaching and exposition of the Scriptures, The Anglican Expositor.  As readers already know, this is certainly a subject I myself believe to be of the utmost importance, and I am most pleased to be able to link to this blog,  The first post, The Great Charge: Recovering the Principles of Biblical Preaching, comes from the March/April issue of The Mandate, the Prayer Book Society’s journal.  If you have not read it before, it is an excellent jumping-off point for the work that needs to be done in restoring Anglican preaching to a Biblical, evangelical vitality.

Incidentally, Fr. Bill has an extensive reading list, The Priest’s Library, that is one of the better list of recommended books I have seen.   One could do far, far worse than using this as a reading list.  If we all read many of the books on this list, I believe the Church would be immensely strengthened.
