Two poetic blog posts, and a new blog added to the blogroll

December 10, 2011

From around the Anglican blogosphere I wanted to mention two very creative poetic blog posts, and another blog that I have added to the blogroll.  Nancy Jones has written a poem titled Cities of Cain that I would say evokes Augustine’s distinction between the City of God and the City of Man, and Teresa Roberts Johnson has written a post titled Advent Anthem that really highlights the “sense of anticipation that the Advent season brings to the heart of the Christian.”  I hope you’ll check out these two talented writers.

I also wanted to mention the blog Colvinism (heh, the title is a neat play on words.)  The author, Matt Colvin, is a deacon postulant in the Reformed Episcopal Church and a Ph.D in Greek literature.  I have actually read his old blog back when he was using Upsaid.com in years past and was quite impressed with his intellect back then.  That certainly has not changed now, and I think you will find his Biblical knowledge very impressive.
