Something Different: Luther Warren performs “O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus”

As you may remember, I really like the hymn “O the Deep, Deep Love of Jesus” and this is a wonderful performance by Luther Warren, on violin, of an arrangement by Joshua Bauder:

“Once to every man and nation” is how this hymn begins in the 1940 Episcopal hymnal and the tune is called “Ebenezer”.

Thank you for pointing that out! I know the tune by the name Ton-Y-Botel and had not realized it had two names – but it sure does. It makes me wonder which words are more commonly used with the tune; as you point out the 1940 Hymnal uses “Once to every man and nation” and we have at least one hymnal with “O the deep, deep love of Jesus.”
