From St. Helen’s: Phillip Jensen on “Why Christians must be silenced”

February 13, 2015

This is a “Sermon Bite” from St. Helen’s Bishopsgate with a very timely message – from Phillip Jensen.  In this message, he explains how the gospel of Jesus was as offensive in the 1st century as it is in the 21st, and the authorities moved quickly to suppress its proclamation. The uniqueness of Christ’s claims, coupled with his teaching on judgement and salvation, were as repugnant to most people then as they are now.  (In the full message, titled Extremism and Freedom of Speech, Dean Jensen shows from Acts 4 that the silencing of Christians is nothing new.)
