From the BBC: “In Our Time” podcast on the Oxford Movement

August 4, 2015

You may find this podcast by the BBC of their In Our Time program on the Oxford Movement to be interesting. The host, Melvyn Bragg, is joined by Sheridan Gilley, Emeritus Reader in Theology at the University of Durham, Frances Knight, Senior Lecturer in Church History at the University of Wales, Lampeter, and Simon Skinner, Fellow and Tutor in History at Balliol College, Oxford.  They discuss John Henry Newman and his fellows in the Oxford Movement, and attempt to answer the question: What was the Oxford Movement and what motivated them?
