From the Jesmond Conference on Reformation in the Nation and the Church: “The Spiritual Vacuum & Solution”

From that Jesmond Conference held earlier this year, here is the second talk, which was on “The Spiritual Vacuum & Solution”.  It was given by the vicar of Jesmond Parish, the Rev. David Holloway.  There is indeed a spiritual vacuum in the West, which is the main reason for Western civilization being under pressure from Islam and from secularism.  As the Rev. Holloway points out, in Britain (and I would say in the Anglosphere in general) the solution to the cultural and spiritual vacuum is the catholic, western and English Reformed tradition that is the Church of England.
