The Rev. David Robertson: Further still on Douglas Murray’s The Strange Death of Europe

September 1, 2017

As noted here previously, the Rev. David Robertson, the minister of St Peters Free Church in Dundee, Scotland, has begun a series of blog posts on Douglas Murray’s book The Strange Death of Europe: Immigration, Identity, Islam.  The third of his posts on this topic is The Strange Death of Europe – Part 3 – Islam and as with the preceding parts it is definitely worth the read.

I wanted to point out this from Rev. Roberson:

The official line, usually said by those who live in their gated communities, is that there is no reason to worry because Muslims are only 4.4% of the population. They think that what is needed for the UK to become a Muslim country is a Muslim population of 51%. They do not grasp that the tipping point is probably around 10%. Why? Because most Islamic communities combine religion, politics, family and community in a way which makes them strong and coherent. Let me put it another way – if 10% of the population of Scotland were strong biblical Christians who followed Christ through this Word our country would be completely turned upside down. It is the same with Islam.

Can you imagine a country where we actually DID have 10% of the population who were “strong biblical Christians who followed Christ through this Word”?
